Graveside services for Floyd "Pete" Leggion will be at 2:00pm Friday, September 25, 2009 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery located at 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108 with Brother Michael Roberts officiating.
Floyd was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Gaddis and Elmer Pearl Akridge Leggion. He loved hunting, fishing, CBs and rodeos. He worked in the oil fields for 45 years and he drove an eighteen wheeler.
Floyd is survived by his son Harvey Ray Leggion of Shreveport, daughter Brenda Craver of Marshall, four sisters: Audrey Mae Sullivan of Denham Springs, LA, Mary Robbins, Faye Ann Odom and Glenda Diane Woods, all of Prairieville, LA, one brother Wallace Edward Leggion of Prairieville, LA, five grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gaddis and Elmer Pearl Akridge Leggion, his wife Mary Pauline Gifford Leggion, grandson: Paul Craver, Jr., three brothers: James H. Leggion, L.E. (Lee) Leggion and Michael Wayne Leggion, two sisters: Doris Marie Leggion and Sharon Kay Cowart.
