Viola Greer Trivette age 97, of Creston, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Trivette was born November 24, 1919 in Watauga County to Thomas and Zora Winebarger Greer. Mrs. Trivette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Trivette, brothers, Roby, Frank, Noah & Elige Greer, sisters, Mattie, Allie, Beulah & Lula Greer, grandchildren, Randall, Tommy, Jimmy, Mitchell, Charles & Tony, great-grandchildren, Steven, Melinda, Melissa & Angel. Mrs. Trivette loved listening to gospel music and working in her garden and flowers. She was a member of Valley Home Baptist Church and left a wonderful legacy in her faith in the Lord being a witness to many.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charles McCoy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 prior to the service.Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the Sutherland Cemetery.
Mrs. Trivette is survived by: Sons, Cicero Jack Trivette of Lenoir, Ervil, Roy, Clyde, Gary and Kenneth Trivette all of Creston and Junior Trivette of Boone, Daughters, Melinda Betty Winebarger and Shirley Trivette both of Creston, also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
