THOMAS ROBERT REITZ, SR of Ortona, FL - he was the son of Archibald and Elizabeth Reitz. Tom was a 22 year, retired, U.S. Navy veteran who retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a former resident of Sunbury, PA and Norfolk, VA and has resided in Ortona for the past 32 years. Tom was a member of American Legion Post #130 and VFW Post #10100, both in Labelle, FL. Surviving are his wife: Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Reitz of Ortona; children, Thomas Robert Reitz, Jr of Palmdale, Benjamin Archie Reitz of Atlanta, GA, Eric Anthony Reitz of Elkhart, IN, Rene Griswell and Elizabeth Ann Reitz, both of Ortona; half-sisters: Phyllis (Herbert) Burd of MD, Elizabeth "Beth" (Daniel) Ney of Palm Bay, FL and Katherine "Kathy" (Thomas) Glicer of TX; grandchildren, Amanda, James, Adam, Kyle, Lindsay, Tonya, Holly, Mary Ann, Shelby, Jessica, Jocelyn, Lorie and Thomas Robert III. A memorial service will be held on March 8, 2003 at the Ortona Holiness Church with Daniel Ney officiating. Cremation arrangements made by Akin-Davis Funeral Home of Labelle, FL and ashes given to wife.
