LEJEUNE, VICTORINE HAYDEL "VIC"
A retired employee of West Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit with 10 years of service and a former employee of Bourg's Drug Store with 30 years of service, she died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 79, a native of Belle Helene Plantation and a resident of Port Allen. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., led by Sister Emma Noel. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Saturday, celebrated by the Rev. Henry Vavasseur. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by a daughter, Roberta Medaries, Port Allen; a son and daughter-in-law, John N. and Alice Smith LeJeune, Denham Springs; two grandchildren, John D. McCormick, Baton Rouge, and John Vincent and wife Debbie Sides LeJeune, Denham Springs; and two great-grandchildren, Alison and Emily LeJeune. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. LeJeune; parents, Vincent and Julie Trosclair Haydel; a sister, Josephine DeLaune; and two brothers, Espera Haydel and Vincent J. Haydel.
