Sanford Daryl Foster, age 79, of 1311 Fourth Street, Newberry, SC and formerly of Clinton, SC, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
Born in Clinton, SC, Mr. Foster was the son of the late Harry Litton Foster, Sr. and Noleeka Young Foster. He was a former member of the SC National Guard and attended Newberry Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of six years, Lynn Busby Foster; two daughters and caregivers, Darlene "Darla" (Tony) Sheppard, Dianne (Jimmy) Miller; one son, Jared Foster and one special stepson, Michael Morris. He also leaves behind two brothers, Harry L. Foster, Jr. and Sammy Foster; two sisters, Kay (Rev. Marion) Ringer and Teresa Kirchberg. He is also survived by three stepdaughters, Lisa G. Baldridge and her son Tanner; Lena G. (Chris) Reynolds and her sons, John (Briana) Davenport and Wesley Davenport and grandson Micah Davenport; Lori (James) Martin and son Samuel Martin.
Daryl loved his grandchildren, Melia Cartmell, Matthew Boyce, Joshua Lyons, Jenna (Madison) Lyons, Briana Foster, A. D. Foster and Nik Foster; and great-grandchildren, Drew Nelson, Abby Nelson, Ella Claire Cartmell, Luke Lyons and Jada Lyons. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Foster was predeceased by his first wife, Clara Heaton Foster and grandsons Jacob Ryan Foster and Lucas James Martin.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, March 25th at 2:00 P.M. at Gray Funeral Home Clinton. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service.
