The fieldstone marker "E S 1741" marks the grave of Elizabeth Smith, daughter of Matthew and Sarah [Mack] Smith in plot #154 on the 1958 surveyor's map of this yard. It is near to that of her sister Lydia [Smith] Arnold who died in 1747 [plot #151]. Sarah [Mack] Smith, the mother of Elizabeth Smith, wrote her will in 1755 and did not mention her daughter Elizabeth, so she was deceased.
