Walter Howard Herron was born April 12, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of Howard Herron and Ethel Lucille Couch Herron. He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri on March 16, 2017. He was 70 years old.
Walter loved being around family and friends. You could never tell where you were going to see him out and about in Caruthersville visiting with friends. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by two children, John Wayne Herron and Clint Herron, two sisters, Juanita Herron and Ruth Smith, nieces nephews and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ethel Herron, brother, Ray Herron and three sisters, Mary Hall, Ruth Ann Smith and Anna Mae Collins.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 17, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. in Little Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
