Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, for Louie D Bedwell, 93, of Foxworth, who died Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence. Interment will be in Lott Cemetery. Dr. Tim Parker, Bro. Blake McDaniel. and Cass Barnes will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, MS .
Mr. Bedwell was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all his family. He enjoyed spending time at Debbie's sandwich shop where he was known as "The Top Dog", and at Wal-Mart where he went to visit and see people that were shopping there. He was a farmer and a cattle buyer.
Mr. Bedwell is preceded in death by his parents; Barney Bedwell, and Rosella Bedwell, son, Louie Douglas Bedwell, brother, Burley Bedwell (Lucy), brother, Albert Bedwell (Pearlie Mae), sister, Molly Regan (Ned), sister, Jackson, Velma, sister, Lucille McKenzie (Gardner), brother, Lewis Bedwell )Ruby), sister, Peggy Jo Blackwell (Sidney),and sister, Merle Stringer Leo),
He is survived by his wife, Grace Bedwell, brother, Billy Ray Bedwell (Janit), daughter, Margaret Miller (Robert), son, Barney Patrick Bedwell, daughter, Debra Eaton, daughter, Deidre Green (Mike), son, Perry Joe Bedwell, grandchildren,Doug Miller, Jody Miller, Barney Bedwell, Sara Anner, Grand Child - Emily Bedwell, Leann Eaton, Crissy Kelly, Shaine Eaton, Amanda Edwards, Amanda Green, Ashley Green, Anthony Green, Jessica Knight, Rick Nellis, Jared Stogner, and Zeak Miller, and 24 great-grandchildren.
