Robert G. Batt

Robert G. Batt, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Morningside Healthcare. Robert was born August 22, 1925, in Sheboygan, to the late George and Olga (Timm) Batt.

Robert served his country in the United States Coast Guard. In 2008, he was honored to visit the ship he served on, the USS Mohawk, in Key West, FL. In 2010, Robert was privileged to go on the Honor Flight. In 1948, he married the former Sylvia Hinz. She preceded him in death in 1994.

Robert worked as a cement finisher and was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 11-WI. He also owned and operated a mink ranch with his wife, Sylvia. Robert was a past member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge. He also attended Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank Pastor Matthew Peters of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church for his support.

He enjoyed traveling and camping with Sylvia.

Survivors include one son, Michael (Linda) Batt, Sheboygan; one daughter, Barbara Froh (friend, Jim Kartes), Sheboygan; one special granddaughter, Andrea Batt; one sister, Carol (Ronald) Rice, Oscodo, MI. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and his special friend, Ruth Karbe.
