Beverly E. “Bev” Emberton age 69 of Bloomington IL passed away at 6:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday (March 18, 2017) at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Steve Evans will be officiating. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Community Cancer Center, Normal, IL.
Bev was born December 26, 1947 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Ernest E. and Louise P. McConkey Kingdon. She married Kenneth E. Emberton on February 15, 1969 in Bloomington, IL. He survives.
Also Surviving, sister, Patsy (William) Hopper, Bloomington, IL, brother, Larry (Ann) Kingdon, Bloomington, IL, sister in-law, Ruby (Ralph) Williams, Nixa, Missouri, brother in-law, Jack (Joyce) Emberton, California, sister in-law, Betty (Ron) Meiners, Gibson City, IL,and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Bev is preceded in death by her parents and her sister ,Connie Stevens.
Bev worked at Eureka Williams after she graduated from high school for several years retiring in 1993. She and Ken enjoyed the outdoors, they loved camping and fishing. She had a love for animals especially, Frosty, Pepper, Skeeter and Sparky. She was a loving wife, sister, sister in law and aunt, she will be missed by all who knew her.
