He passed away at the age of 87, and had been a resident of Grosse Pointe Woods. Cherished husband of Dorothy A. (Chapman), they were married for 63 years. Loving father of Janet A. (Jim) Troutman and Richard B. (the late Regina) Steiger. Dear grandfather of Noelle and Mikayla. He graduated from Wayne State University with a B.A., and a L.L.B. Law degree. He retired as a Commander after 24 years in the U.S. Coast Guard . He owned and ran the Killebrew Steiger Insurance Agency for 27 years.
