A. Marie Stuckey, age 87, a resident of The Heritage Manor for 26 1/2 years and formerly of Delaware Twp., Hancock Co., died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the manor. She was born March 28, 1918 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Forest and Helen B. (Kneisley) Lane. On September 3, 1938, she married Dale S. Stuckey and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1979. She is survived by: son, Gene A. (Connie) Stuckey of rural Arlington; daughter, LuAnn (Steve) Steiner of Bluffton; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Stuckey) MacKenzie of Bluffton; sisters, Janet (John) Rose of Arlington; and Juanita Deringer of Forest; two grandchildren, Greg (Missy) Stuckey and their daughter, Kimberly; and Nick (Annette) Stuckey and their sons, Ryan, Logan and Brandon. One son, Donald D. Stuckey, brothers, Russell R. and Donald R. along with two infant brothers, Adam and John preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Charty E. (Riegle) Lane. Marie spent her life as a homemaker; she was a 1936 Mt. Blanchard High School graduate, a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Delaware Twp., Hancock Co. She also was involved with the Hancock Co. Farm Bureau, Friendly Farmers' Farm Bureau Council and the Hope Chapel Grange #2131. Confined for many years by physical limitations, Marie thoroughly enjoyed connecting with people as a primary past-time, experiences that her visitors cherished as well. Handcrafts were also a favorite activity. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington; where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006, with Reverend Elizabeth Kelly and Reverend Bruce Ford officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, rural Mt. Blanchard. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
