"WAS RESIDENT OF TITUSVILLE OVER 60 YEARS - Mrs Elizabeth M Droschel (sic) Passes Away Late Last Evening Aged Nearly 80 Years - SICK LITTLE OVER WEEK - Mrs Elizabeth Manus Dorschel, widow of Boniface Dorschel, passed away at her home, 319 North Franklin street, at 11 o'clock last evening, following an illnes of only a little more than a week. She walked from her home down town on the afternoon of September 3, visited several stores, and was taken ill the following day. Mrs Dorschel was born in Germany nearly 80 years ago and came to America when a young woman, locating in Titusville over 60 years ago. During her long residence in the community she was held in high esteem as a woman of strong Christian character, a kind and loving mother, true and faithful friend and neighbor. Soon after coming to Titusville she was united in marriage with Boniface Dorschel, who passed away about ten years ago, and to them six children were born, four of whom survive as follows: Miss Anna Dorschel and William Dorschel, both residing at home, George J Dorschel of Detroit, Mich, and Leo L Dorschel of Williamsport. There are also four grandchildren. She is the last of her own family. Mrs Dorschel was a life-long member of St Walburga's Catholic church, faithful in attendance at the services and for many years an active worker in the parish. She was also a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. Arrangements for the funeral will be completed today and announcement made in The Herald on Friday."
