Mrs. Margaret E. Bartley of Haines City died of heart failure Wednesday (March 8, 2006) in Lake Wales. She was 85.
Born in Elkton, Ky., on April 26, 1920, she came to Haines City in 1990. She was a retired division chief for the Civil Service working for the Army. She received the Decoration for Meritorious Civilian Service from the Army. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma, and she served in the SHARE program. She attended First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bartley was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bartley. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Butler; son, Robert Thomas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
