Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grace Reformed Church, Corsica, for Melvin James Hamburg, 47, of 3303 S. Garfield Ave., who died Friday at a Sioux Falls hospital.
Mr. Hamburg was born Oct. 19, 1924, at Stickney. He spent his childhood in Douglas County. He was a World War II veteran. On Dec. 26, 1946, he married Arlene Van Roekel at Corsica.
He farmed for 17 years near Corsica and then moved into Corsica and operated the city cafe for five years. In 1971 he moved to Sioux Falls and was employed by Zip Feed Mills.
