Funeral was Sunday--Interment Made at Britt Cemetery

Carroll C. Gilbert, the second son of David and Sophrona Gilbert was born July 19, 1844, at Alabama, Genesee, New York.

----------age of 5 years, (in 1849) he ------is parents to Wisconsin. ---------- grew to manhood.

----------year 1873, on the 19th of June he was married to Many Ann McGarry. March of 1876, they came to Clear Lake, Iowa, and engaged in farming. ---------- hey moved to Britt; it was ---------- now some 40 years ago) that Carroll Gilbert joined the Congregational church.

----------children were born to this family----------of whom are still living.

----------Gilbert continued farming until ---------- hen moved to Buffalo Center, where he resided until his death on the ---------- November 28th, 1935.

----------had been ill several times during the past year, but by the care of willing ----------he recovered sufficiently each ----------to be out-of-doors again. His illness continued for a number of----------and his passing away came -----------and quietly. He was con-----------to the very end, though audible----------was difficult during the last----------. Upon the approaching moment of death, he yielded himself to ----------by responding, that it was time.

Gilbert of Casper, Wyoming; and three daughters; Mrs. Clara Belle Miller of ----------ock, Iowa, Mrs. Nelle E. Grot----------of Buffalo Center, and Mrs. ---------- E. Getteman of Burt, Iowa. ----------20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, besides friends and neighbors.

----------funeral services was held Sunday afternoon at the Congregational church at Buffalo Center with Rev. N. Boom----------in charge.

Interment was made at Britt, Iowa, ----------the grave of his father.
