Joseph Blaine Bingham

1927 - 2005


On July 12, 2005, at the age of 77, Joseph Blaine Bingham passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, from natural causes. Blaine was born on December 22, 1927 to Joseph M. Bingham and Ada May Taylor in Ogden, Utah. he attended Ogden High School. After high school he served in the Unites States Navy for three years. He served an LDS Mission to the Eastern States from 1949 to 1951. He attended Weber State and Utah State University. Married to Helen Donaldson on June 6, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Harold B. Lee. He lived a full and complete life, and was loved dearly by many. Blaine and Helen have twelve children: David (Karen) Bingham, Lori (Skip) Loesch, Mary Jo (Michael) Larson, Scott (Karen) Bingham, Helen (Don) Thomas, Donna, Catherine (Terry) Smith, Lee (Deanna) Bingham, Linda Scarlet, Diane (Jason) North, Joseph (Sharon) Bingham, and Rebecca (Paul) Poulsen. Blaine and Helen have 48 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Blaine served two stake mission. He also taught in the Davis County School District for 25 years. Blaine and Helen served an LDS mission to Albuquerque, New Mexico from May 1995 to May 1996. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2002. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna, parents, sister and son-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2600 South 500 West, Bountiful. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful and Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Bountiful Cemetery.
