Sioux Falls, SD ~ Dolores Jean Collins-Creek, age 87, died on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation with family will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Dolores Raymond was born on Oct. 28th 1929 to Frank and Alma (Chalupa) Raymond in Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated from Washington High School in 1947. She married Burl T. Collins on Sept 7th 1952 in Luverne, MN. They had four children together, Michael, Shannon, Elaine, and Taylor. Dolores went to work as an executive secretary at Raven Industries and later in Texas at Electro-Comm which later became part of Siemens. At age 60 she went back to school at the University of Texas and earned her Legal Assistant Certificate. After retiring from Siemens in 1994 she returned to Sioux Falls where she worked in the law office of James Abourezk. While conducting research for Mr. Abourezk on tribal law she met and married her husband Clayton Creek.

Grateful for sharing her life are her son Michael Collins and wife Julie Thomas, daughter Shannon Collins and husband Gino Pinto-Elizondo, and son Taylor Collins all of Sioux Falls. Her granddaughter Carly Dockstader and her grandsons Ian and Leif Thomas of Colorado. Four great grandchildren, Arie, Morgan, Ethan and Elisa.

Preceding her in death are her parents Frank and Alma Raymond. Her step father George McKee and her beloved daughter Elaine Renae Collins. Siblings Roger Raymond, Lottie Raymond and Frank Raymond II.
