For several years he worked in the mines but was ultimately appointed sheep inspector for this county and afterward became foreman on the Bates ranch.
He is survived by a wife and three children; Annie, Helen and David, all of whom reside in Salt Lake City. A brother and two sisters also reside in this country— Bryce Freeman of Superior; Mrs. Corrigan, of Park
City, and Mrs. David Muir of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
John was a thorough Scott, cheery, honest, open-hearted, free-handed, always ready to help anyone less fortunate than himself. He was greatly respected by all with whom he came in contact and a large circle of friends will mourn his loss. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Mike Freeman,
on J street, at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
