Chico Record, Monday Morning, November 24, 1912, pg 3 col 5: Former Cherokee Man Passes Away. Oroville, No. 23. – A dispatch received yesterday from Oakland by Mrs. F.W. Kroeger conveyed the news of the death of Harry Lott, a former well known resident of Butte County.

The deceased was about 65 years of age, and resided here for many years, until he left his old home at Cherokee about ten years ago and located at Oakland, where for a number of years he conducted a successful grocery business. He was employed at Cherokee for years as a bookkeeper.

The remains will be brought to this city, and the funeral will be held on Monday. The remains will be interred in the Cherokee cemetery, beside those of the wife of the deceased.

Mr. Lott was a brother-in-law of Hank Bader of Cherokee, and Charles Bader of Magalia. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Block of Oakland; also five nieces – Mrs. F.W. Kroeger of Oroville, Mrs. Chester Story of Stirling City, Mrs. Heinrich, Mrs. Mowry and Mrs. Weaver of San Francisco.
