The funeral of Manville C. Baker was held on the afternoon of April 3, 1918 at the home, 14 Academy Place and was largely attended. Rev. James J. Hoffman of the Kingsboro Presbyterian Church officiated, assisted by Rev. John J. Dominic.

The floral tributes were received from friends and neighbors, the Gloversville Silk Mill Company and employees, the firm and office force Bachner-Moses-Louis Co., Philathea class of the Kingsboro Presbyter church, teachers of the Kingsboro Avenue school and pupils of room 4 of that school.

Miss Alice Conroy, accompanied by Miss Winifred Brown, sang "Crossing the Bar" and "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." The bearers were E. Brown Baker, Channing E. Baker, Orville Baker, Charles D Shepard, Edward M. Brown and Stark Cook. Interment was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
