Jerica's body was found in a boy's bathroom at her elementary school. She had been stabbed sixteen times. A man was observed with Jerica about an hour before her body was found. That man was a man that everyone believed all of Jerica's life to be her biological father. During the murder investigation it was revealed that he was not her biological father.
