Abbiegayle Mackenzie "Goo-Roo" Sowers: age 15 months of Piqua, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born February 17, 2004 in Troy to Daniel D. and Chasity M (Thompson) Sowers, of Piqua.
Abbey is survived by her brothers and sisters: Danielle, Lisa, and Bryce Sowers, Harlea Thompson and Justin Ratliff all of Piqua. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother: Sandra Purk of Urbana, maternal great grandmother: Christine Thompson of St. Paris, paternal grandparents: Paul and Gail Sowers of Piqua and Connie and Lester Zumbrum of Dayton and paternal great grandfather; True Whiteneck and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her cousin: A.J. Staton, grandpa: Larry Thompson, great grandpa: Cecil Thompson and great uncle: Steve Sowers.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with Dale Lentz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with the expense of the funeral.
