Dorothy is survived by a son, Gregory Fox; a grandson, Gregg Fox and wife Jessica of Brier Hill and two great grandsons, Jacob and Gage Fox. Dorothy is predeceased by three sisters, Mary Heaton, Margaret Gorthrope and Francis Spooner and two brothers, Donald and Richard Heaton. Dorothy was born on Sep 9, 1921 in Ogdensburg, daughter of Frederick C and Dora St.Denny Heaton. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She became a seamstress; and was a Certified Nurse's Aide and Physical Therapy Assistant at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. Dorothy first married Howard Fox. He died in 1969. Later married Charles S Douglas in Hammond in 1983. He died in 2006. Dorothy and Charles owned and operated Charlie's Tavern in Black Lake.
