After her mother died when Lorine was six years of age, her father moved back to Louisiana. He remarried a few years later to Rosa Oliver Vosburg who was a loving stepmother.
Lorine became a Christian during her teen years. For sixty plus years she was a member of Mer Rouge Baptist Church, Mer Rouge, Louisiana. As a dedicated Christian, she served voluntarily as Church Treasurer for thirty plus years and was very active in the church.
When she and Felix moved to Texas in 2011 they became members of First Baptist Church of Mineola, where the attended Bible Study and church until her health prevented her from attending.
On May 28, 1942, she married Felix Clack, the "Love of her Life." While he was serving in the Army during World War II, and before being shipped overseas, he learned that he was to become a father. Lorine was a faithful wife to Felix for 74 1/2 years and a loving mother to Jan, setting valuable life lessons in word and deed. She was a superb housekeeper and a wonderful cook, especially with wild game and sweets. Pies and candy were her specialty. Babies were always so special and she loved cuddling them. Even though she and Felix weren't wealthy, they shared what they had with many people. They both loved their churches and felt that tithing was a gift to be given back for the Lord's work.
In addition to her love of home, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, fishing, and travelling to different cities in the United States for yearly Army reunions.
