Murray - Arlene was born in Logan, Utah on June 6, 1935 to William Levert Alvey and Bertha Roth.
She passed away March 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
She was raised in Cache Valley, Utah along with three brothers and seven sisters.
Arlene enjoyed playing sports in school, including tennis, basketball and softball.
In her senior year she was awarded with most outstanding women's athlete at North Cache High by the Mayor of Richmond City.
She married the love of her life, Dee Butterfield, in June 1953; they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
She selflessly and lovingly dedicated 8 years to the sole care of Dee through his struggle with Alzheimer's.
She was a loving mom and grandma.
She loved spending time in her flower garden and always had a beautiful yard.
She enjoyed going camping with friends and especially looked forward to trips and time spent with her family.
She was an active member of the LDS church.
Arlene is survived by her 3 sons, Tom (Sherrie), Rob (Laura), and Pat (Audra); 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elaine Rodgers and June Hanson; and 1 brother, Gail Alvey. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belview LDS Chapel, 300 East 6300 South, Murray, Utah.
A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church and Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah.
Interment at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
