Funeral Services For Native Texan This Afternoon
Funeral services for Samuel Houston Bell, 87, who died in a Terrell hospital Monday morning after an illness of some 3 weeks, have been announced for 5 o'clock this afternoon at the Mikel-Brown Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J. I. Gregory, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Officiating. Burial will be in the Dodd City cemetery.
Mr. Bell was born April 30, 1856 in Leon County, Texas, and moved to Bonham some 25 years ago and had resided here since that time.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Callie Bell; two sons, Curtis Bell, Amarillo; Arden Bell, Los Angeles; five daughters, Mrs. Erbine [sic: Erdine] Jones, Denison; Miss Sarah Etta Bell, Mexia; Mrs. Charles Price, Midland; Mrs. Celestia Barrett and Mrs. Artie Steele, Bonham.
