Walter Krueger, (Grampa Wally) 73, of Hutto passed away unexpectedly early morning October 5, 2020.

He was born September 11, 1947 in Taylor, Texas to Walter F. Krueger and Rena Lange Krueger. He was an only child.

Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra 16 years ago.

Walter was retired from the State of Texas @TCEQ. TX Commission on Environmental Quality. He joined the Army in October 1967-May 1969 and served in Vietnam. Upon returning he started a family and farmed his family land. He also worked as a mechanic at Midway Auto in Pflugerville.

After this he went to work for the State of Texas where he retired in 2013. He enjoyed fishing and loved to make homemade canned pickles and other gardening. Walter also enjoyed socializing within the communities as well as visiting with his children Todd and Krista. He loved seeing and hearing about his grandson Kaden.

Walter is survived by his son: Todd Lee Krueger, daughter; Krista Dawn Tovar and husband; Chris and grandson; Kaden.

Visitation will be he from 6-8pm Thursday October 8, 2020 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday October 9, 2020 at Providence funeral home followed by interment at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Taylor.
