James "Ed" North, age 78, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on March 5, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky to Luther and Elsie (Hubbard) North on August 14, 1938. Ed married Danna Faye Fultz in 1959.

He attended Pentecostal Faith Assembly in Bloomington. Ed loved to fish, watch Nascar, football, and basketball, specifically University of Kentucky Wildcats, he loved to work and would not quit a task until it was finished. Ed also loved animals, especially his late dog and cat, Brute and Whiskers, and he loved cars and trucks, and playing cards. Ed loved his family most of all.

Ed is survived by his wife, Danna North, four children, Gale Hartman, Sharon Glass, Eddie North, and Theresa Vogel, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a sister Betty Hoskins.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 3 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401, and from 12 pm until 1 pm on Thursday at The Funeral Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 1 pm Thursday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Michael Douglas will officiate
