Heaven gained an angel January 7, 2017 with the passing of Lillian Sidwell, age 76. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend traveled to her heavenly home and was joyfully reunited with her parents, brother, son, granddaughter and so many others that passed before her. We can only imagine the reunion and the joy she must have felt.
Lillian was born on December 27, 1940 to Mark and LaRean Hatch in Richfield, Utah. She attended South High School in Salt Lake City. Lillian was a member of the LDS church. She married the love of her life, Max Sidwell, on September 10, 1965. Together they raised four children and were married 51 years. She loved to hunt and fish and she once caught a seagull while casting her line. Mom loved to make gifts for others. Her afghans, baby dresses and crafts are works of art and will be cherished by all those fortunate to have them. She was also an amazing cook and her fruit salad, Christmas candy and deviled eggs were family favorites.
Lillian is survived by her husband Max, brother Kyle, son Mark (Shellie), daughter Debbie (Bruce) and son Terry (Beckie), ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother, son and granddaughter.
Our family extends a special thanks to the Good Shepherd Hospice nursing staff for their kind and compassionate care of our dear mother.
"Our loss is heaven's gain but we know we will see her again!" We love you Mom!
