Dale was born July 14, 1922, in Decatur, IL, the son of Herman and Martha (Orkowski) Bagenski. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Dale married Edna Mae Coons on October 20, 1946, in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death September 27, 2015. Dale was an architect for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Dale enjoyed photography and traveling.
Dale is survived by his two children, Eric (Vickie) Bagenski of Baraboo, WI and Paula (Morris) Gebbink of Decatur, IL; four grandchildren, Richard, Kevin, Lisa and Jay.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna; and two brothers.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Wade and Dr. Esparaz of the Cancer Care Center, DMH Hospice and Decatur Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Services to celebrate the life of Dale Bagenski will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 2055 S Franklin Street Rd, Decatur. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
