Thamar Virginia Dennis was born in Belmont Co., Ohio, June 19, 1830, being 73 years, 8 months and 14 days old at the time of her death, Wednesday, March 2, 1904.

She was married to Lemuel Joseph Knight, in Monroe Co., Ohio, who died at Waterville, Minn., Mar. 27, 1888. The fruits of this marriage were three sons and three daughters, of whom James W. Knight, of Mica, Washington, Sarah E. Platz, of Waterville, Minn.. and John W. Knight, of Knapp. Wis., are still living.

Later she married William Harris, at Waterville, Minn., who survives her.

She joined the M. E. church when she was a child and lived a consistent Christian life until death. In her last moments she sail [said]: "Oh, I am so happy! O death, whee is they sting; O grave, where is they victory!"

Her son-in-law, Theodore Platz, grand son David and grand-daughters Misses Halena and Hearl Platz, of Waterville, Minn., were at her funeral.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Knapp Thursday, and the remains were interred in the Teegarden cemetery. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and has gone to receive her reward.
