Glenn Carroll Warwick, 93 of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at his home. He was born December 20, 1913 in Mangum, Oklahoma to James and Bertie Warwick. Glenn married Oma May Haston in 1935. He had worked as a mechanic and was drafted into service to help construct air bases in the United States. For 45 years Glenn had worked for the Myers Company in El Paso, TX, and was a member of the Ysleta Lions Club. In 1945 he became a Girl Scout and remained that until his death. He was the managing director of the Pine Springs Summer Camp, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Beside their own children Glenn and Oma had raised nine foster children.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Oma of the family home; three daughters, Glyndolyn Nan Starr of T or C, NM; Oma Sue Bergstrom of Las Cruces, NM and Anita Kay Walker and her husband Michael of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Two sisters, Catherine Hare and Edith Kasten both of Crown Point, Indiana. Also surviving Glenn are five grandchildren, J. Michael Starr, Diane Miller, Timothy Walker, Robert Walker, Oma Jade Bergstrom, and Oma Cathryn Fister; 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, many nieces, nephews and friends. Glenn and Oma May also had surviving foster children, Dolph Rubio, Maria Rubio, Belkis Fernandes, and Linda Blake, and their children. One foster child preceded Glenn in death, Charolette Molina.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the University Church of Christ, 1555 E. University, Las Cruces, NM. Officiating will be Dave Harrelson. His ashes will be interred at Restlawn Memorial Park, 8700 N. Dyer in El Paso, TX at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2007.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Pine Spring Summer Camp, c/o University Church of Christ, 1555 E. University, Las Cruces, NM 88001
