Deseret News: Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994. J. Graham McQuarrie, age 75, died January 5, 1994 at his home on Camino Island, Washington. He was born October 18, 1918 in Midway, Utah to Laura Gurr and Lamond Seegmiller McQuarrie. Graham grew up in Salt Lake City. He attended the University of Utah and received his chemical engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and served as a meteorologist in World War II. Graham was employed by the Monsanto Chemical Corporation in Texas City, Texas and St. Louis, Missouri until his retirement.

He is survived by two sons: David, Los Angeles, California; and Gary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two brothers, L. Gurr McQuarrie, Midway, Utah; and Howard G. McQuarrie, Salt Lake City; one sister, Miriam McQuarrie McDonald, Prescott, Arizona.
