CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Doris A. Stoner, 69, of 569 Weaver Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at her home.
Born March 13, 1933, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Donald M. and E. Viola Woodring Aldridge.
She graduated from Chambersburg High School and received a degree from Hagerstown Junior College in advanced dressmaking.
She was employed as a data transcriber at the former Valley Bank in Chambersburg.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Stoner, whom she married Sept. 9, 1951; two sons, Michael L. Stoner of York, Pa., and Mark A. Stoner of Orrstown, Pa.; two sisters, Patsy Rensch of Fayetteville, N.C., and Bette-Jo Frazer of Nyesville, Pa.; a brother, William Aldridge of Fayetteville, N.C.; a granddaughter; and four grandsons.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. The Revs. Christopher T. Little and Garry Culler will officiate. Private burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
