Strange Rites at 2 Saturday
Comanche - Funeral for Mrs. SAMANTHA GAY STRANGE, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Phillips-Esley Funeral Home Chapel here.
Mrs. Strange died Thursday after a long illness.
The Rev. Fred Knight, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Comanche, of which she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in the Comanche cemetery. Grandchildren will be bearers.
Mrs. Strange was born May 28, 1872, in Albertville, Alabama. She attended schools there and married Samuel L. Strange 69 years ago. He preceded her in death in October, 1958.
The couple lived in Electra, Texas, until moving to Comanche in 1925. They were farmers in the Addington and Comanche areas.
Survivors include two sons, Otis of Lawton, and Burk of Shawnee; six daughters, Oma Love and Otha Bundrick, both of Amarillo, Texas, Grace Helms of Bakersfield, California, Ona Salman and Nona Capps, both of Burbank, California.
