He had lived in Corpus Christi for 18 years and was division production manager in the production department of Humble Oil and Refining Company. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University. He was survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn; three daughters, Mrs. B. S. Tharp [Leonard "Lynn"] of Dallas, Mrs. J. B. Stahala of San Antonio, and Miss Betsy Barrett of Corpus Christi; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Durant [Duran] of San Antonio; two brothers, J. N. [James Neal (1908-1980)] and W. F.
