Janette Adkins, 84, of New Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003. She was a member of the New Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward Carroll Adkins, in 1990; a son, Edward S. Adkins; parents, Clem and Anna (Rinehart) Geeting; three brothers, Harold, Roy and Arthur Geeting; and three sisters, Gladys Brumbaugh, Anna Holder and Wilma Mills. Survivors include a son, Randy (Vickie) Adkins of Troy; two daughters, Jeanine (Joseph) Virag of New Lebanon and Cathy (Daniel) Roderer of Beavercreek; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 5, at Rogers Funeral Home, New Lebanon, with Pastor Gary Eubank officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
