Funeral for Lawrence Walker (Andy) Anderson, 72, of 1911 Westmeade St.SW, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Joiner officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Gardens of Memory with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Anderson died Monday at his residence. He was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church and Morgan County Sheriff's Posse. He managed the Southern Shoe Store for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lura Gamble Anderson; one son, David Lawrence Anderson, of Brandon, Miss; two daughters, Joan Tanner of Hartselle and Sue Lewis of Birmingham; three brothers, Arthur Anderson of Damascus, Va, Otho Anderson of Piney Flats, Tenn, and Sherwood Anderson of Marion, Va; four sisters, Millie Haga and Dorothy McDaniels, both of Kingsport, Tenn, Nellie Russell of Marion, Va, and Kathleen Verlander of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
