Gibbons, Irene Ann (nee Jankowski), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Memorial University of Colorado Medical Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. She spent her final days taking in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. She married the love of her life, Donald F. Gibbons on June 24, 1950 in St. Louis MO. They were blessed by two daughters, Linda A. (Dennis) Smith of Belleville, IL, and Donna M. (Robert) Bright of High Ridge, MO. Donald Passed away on September 28, 1987. Preceding her in death, were her parents, Polish Imigrants, Vincent & Sophia Jankowski (nee Szczepanska). Also, preceded in death were her seven siblings; Casmira Koziatek, Helen Homiczewski, John Jankowski, Walter Jankowski, and Stanley (Skeets) Jankowski, Theresa Baluka, and Dorothy Serafin. Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her children, are her Grandchildren; Cynthia L. (Dennis) Sebzda of Ocala, FL, Joseph R. (Missy) Bradlo of St. Charles, MO, and Stephen M. (Robyn Brown) Baras of Imperial, MO Lauren Stoetzer of St. Louis, MO and Billy (Desiree) Stoetzer of Divide, CO. Her Loving GiGi to her great grandchildren whom she called her Little pootchski's (her Polish word of endearment)for them). Alison & Rebecca Carameros of Ocala, FL, Jack & Max Bradlo of St. Charles, MO. and Maggie Stoetzer of St. Louis, MO. Special friend from high school, Lena Wyer of Gerald, MO. Irene also leaves behind many neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Donations to American Heart Assoc. or charity of one's choice . Interment private in Calvary Cemetery.
