David D. Daly, Retired Farmer, Dies At Age 73
David Dewey Daly, 73, of 822 Allen Ave., died at 7:42 a.m. Saturday at Norris hospital.
He was born at Franklin February 27, 1896, son of Patrick and Fannie Stillwell Daly. His first wife, Cletta Mattes, preceded him in death. He was married Dec. 31, 1949 to Flora Smith Anthony, who survives with a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hazel Elwell of Seattle, Wash.
Also surviving are three brothers, Ben of Corpus Christi, Tex., James of Chapin and Fred of Mishawaka, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Brewer of Sacramento, Callif. and two grandchildren, Tommy and Bobbie.
Mr. Daly, who was a veteran of World War One, formerly farmed in the Chapin area. He was a member of American Legion Post 279 and World War One Barracks 385.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home, Reverend William J. Boston officiating. Burial will be in Chapin cemetery.
