Johnnie Beryl Griffith, 94, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on January 10, 2017. She was born to Isaac Riggs and Nellie Frances (Jones) Chalk Danley on September 21, 1922 in La Luz, New Mexico.
She was a member of the Kingsland Church of Christ. Johnnie will be remembered as a great homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting, and remodeling in her spare time.
Johnnie is survived by her daughters, Beverly Griffith of Kingsland, Texas, Patty Young and her husband Ted of Marble Falls, Texas, Linda Elkins and her husband Joe of Templeton, California, grandchildren, Ethan Elkins and his wife Krissy, Aaron Elkins, William Elkins and his wife Molly, Tyson Young, and six great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Griffith is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy-one years, John Griffith, and ten siblings.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 o’clock P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Putnam Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 145 Texas Avenue, Kingsland, Texas with Mr. Joe Winnett officiating. A register can be found at www.PutnamCares.com.
