Mr. Carl K. Abernathy, age 78 of Dalton, departed this life on Sunday, September 9, 2001, at the Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late William and Nola Abernathy and was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Abernathy.
Survivors include his wife, Fearby Russell Abernathy of Dalton; sons, Russell Abernathey of Dalton; and Richard Abernathy of Dalton; and Richard Abernathy of Rocky Face.
Brothers, George Abernathy and Frank Abernathy, both of Dalton; sisters, Louise Burton and Annie Neighbors, both of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services were in the chapel of Love Funeral Home of Dalton with the Rev. Burman Cape officiating.
