Catherine Elaine Westman, age 81, of Remus, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

Services will be held at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Catherine was born in Tustin, MI on November 13, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Nellie (Gerberich) Stenke. Her family meant everything to her and she was so proud of all of them. She loved living on Halls Lake and enjoyed the outdoors; gardening, campfires and pontoon rides. She was a loving and welcoming person; an animal lover, enjoyed craft shows, the Scottville Clown Band, going to the malls, cooking and reading.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jim; three sons, Mike (Pam), Scott (Terrie), Marty (Kathy); one daughter, Terri (John) Lavoy, and nine grandchildren, Jamie, Tom, Danielle, Travis, Hayley, Marci, Amanda, Kelsey and Gabby.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marjory Cheney. Donations in memory of Catherine may be directed to Woodland Hospice or Isabella County Commission on Aging.
