Betty Jean DeMoss, 89, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Lakeview Village Senior Living of Monticello. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on May 8, 1927 to the late Carl J. and Mildred A. (Graubman) Patton. She is survived by her daughters, Susan K. Gravesen, (John) of St. Augustine, Florida, Babs E. Schweirs, (Fred) of Bradenton, Florida, and her daughter-in-law, Vickie L. DeMoss of Monticello, Indiana, who was like a daughter to her. Betty is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Betty lived most of her life in Wolcott, IN as a farmer’s wife to Robert R. DeMoss who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son Roger R. DeMoss and grandsons Alan R. and Aron R. DeMoss. Betty loved being with family and friends. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed hearing and telling jokes. She was a member of the Palestine Christian Church for many years. Betty worked at Carson Inn, Remington, and Sportsman Inn, Monticello, until her retirement.
