Last Wednesday, Fairfield's oldest citizen, Daniel Mickley, Sr., was buried. He was born
December 22, 1801, consequently he was in this 98th year. He was vigorous up to the day he died, always rising for his meals. He comes from a long lived family. He has a brother living who is over 90 years old, and a cousin who died in Waynesboro several years ago in his 100th year. Mr. Mickley's wife also died Sunday night, aged 67 years, and will be buried tomorrow at 10:00.
