Katherine (Kathy) Irene Martin, age 77, of Marietta, GA, originally from Knoxville, passed away Friday evening, February 24, 2017. Kathy was an alumnus of Karns High School. She retired after thirty two years in Grocery Union.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude Lillian and Rush R. Martin Sr; Siblings, R.R. Martin Jr, Helen Flanagan, Katy Gibson, Alice Copeland, and Mary Lindsey. KathyONE is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ralph Newcomb; brother, Howard Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Jane Doyal. Although childless, Katherine (Kathy) considered and loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She was treasured and will be missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:45 p.m. on Monday, at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel, with funeral services to follow at 6 p.m., with Rev Gary W. Gray Jr. officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Byrds Chapel Cemetery for graveside services.
