VIOLET FAYE CRISSMAN

Worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's, North Midway

Violet Faye Crissman, 91, of Water Street, Roaring Spring, and formerly of Bedford and Fishertown, died at 1:15 am Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg.

Born in East St. Clair Twp., Bedford County, on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Roberta (Way) Crissman.

She is survived by a son, Joseph W. Miller, husband of Emilie (Allison), Fishertown; daughter, Violet W. (Miller), widow of William E. Dubbs, Roaring Spring. She is also survived buy six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clair and Earl, a sister, Grace.

Mrs. Crissman was a member of Friends Meeting, Fishertown. She was a waitress at Howard Johnson's Restaurant, North Midway, Bedford, and later worked at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, Bedford.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2 pm, at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery, Fishertown.

Friends are invited to call Saturday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville.
