D. B. Shaw, 96, went to meet the Lord on February 25, 2017. Mr. Shaw was the husband to the late Mrs. Johnie Shaw in which they shared 70 years of love, marriage, and dedication to the lord. Mr. Shaw is survived by his daughter, Susan Shaw of Chesapeake, Virginia, his son, Michael Shaw of Asheboro, North Carolina, and his brother, Herbert Shaw of Chesapeake, Virginia, along with a host of beloved family members and friends.

Mr. Shaw designed and assisted in the construction of Williamston Packing Company and served as the company's General Sales Manager. He was also the lead singer in the Ambassador Quartet for 17 years.

Mr. Shaw proudly authored a biography entitled, "His Hands in mine". The biography takes you on a journey through his life while he serves the lord as a Christian. He also expressed the importance of how to reach your eternal destination through god's divine instructions in his pamphlet called "Life's Road Map".

Mr. Shaw's wonderful sense of humor and his undeniable love for the lord and his family and friends, will be greatly missed.

A funeral service was held at 11:30 am on February 28, 2017 at First Free Will Baptist Church located at 901 North Bonner St., Washington, NC, 27889. Visitation began at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Yeatesville Cemetery.
