Mrs. Helen was born February 17, 1931, in St. Francis County, and was the daughter of Arthur G. McGee and Ollie Dotson McGee Roberts. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was retired from the St. Francis County Assessors Office, was a very devoted minister's wife who was always there for others, and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Helen married Brother Floyd Cowan Jr. in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by one son, Floyd Dalon Cowan, and wife, June, of Kimberling City, Missouri, one daughter, Phyllis Cowan Hillis, and husband, Tommy, of Forrest City, one brother, A. G. McGee, and wife, Nan, of Conway, one sister, Edith Dodson of Marionville, Missouri, and five grandchildren; Kevin Cowan, Karen Cowan, Bartley Hillis, and wife, Tammy, Adam Hillis, and wife, Cristin, Danielle McDonald, and husband, Chris, and eight great-grandchildren; Carson, Caden, Kaylee, Mollee, Emalee, Reed, Kaithlynn, and Cody.
